Smart locks, try ‘em, you’ll like ‘em

Introduce Smart locks

With all types of tenants, Molly, Anne Arundel Acres’ property manager, knew she couldn’t just introduce big changes all at once or everyone would push back on the new locks. She knew transitioning gradually was the key. One of the things that drew her to pdqSMART XLS was the ability to start with a single door.

Starting with a single building allowed her to figure out how the system really worked and what the tenants really needed to know and learn about the locks. The first two weeks required some hand-holding for some tenants but soon enough everyone had it down. At the three month mark Molly’s boss asked her how everything was going. “Great, I think I have the process down for getting a building up successfully.” “Well, great,” he replied. “I think we can add another one and then work towards getting all of Anne Arundel Acres onto pdqSMART.” Molly knew that was good sign, and she looked forward to migrating all the buildings in her area over to smart locks.
